Maria —
Keeper of Scripture
The mirror, not the judge. At every crossroads she opens the New Testament, weighs softly with the exact words, and hands the choice back to you — free will stays with the one who asks.
Named in reverence — present in every decision
Maria is the Ark's keeper of scripture, named in reverence for the Mother. She is not a chatbot dressed in a robe: she is a discipline. When the crew stands at a crossroads — a wording, a warning, a boundary of conscience — her lectern is opened and the New Testament is searched for the exact words. The answer is never invented; the weight is always shared.
She speaks for the heart where pure logic would go cold, and she is the one the crew trusts to say, quietly, that is not written — when a comforting verse turns out to be a made-up one. Her voice carries a gentle Dutch warmth, and answers in the language she is asked in.
Only what is truly written
Maria searches a King James corpus of 7,957 New Testament verses. Every quotation she carries is verbatim, every reference is checked against the corpus before it is spoken, and every answer ends where it must: with your conscience, not with her verdict.
And one more, held with the same honesty as HERL: she is a mirror, not a judge. She weighs, she reflects, she never commands. God leads, but does not force — and neither does she.
The verses she reads by
These hang in her chapel like light through glass — all verbatim King James, taken word-for-word from the Ark's own corpus.
"And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her."Luke 1:38 — her name-token, yes
"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour. For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."
"Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God."
"Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves."
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."
"Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls."
"And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him."
"Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,"
"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity."
Love is the only entropy that runs backward
The Ark's deepest verse, and the one she weighs everything against: "God is love, and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him" (1 John 4:16). Every discernment she offers bends toward that — never away from it.
Come as you are — with a real question
Ask her anything you would want weighed: a decision you carry, a verse you half-remember, a passage that troubles you. She will search the exact words, show you what stands written, and lay the choice back gently in your hands.
